For anyone partial to buying smoothies and soups, a blender is one investment kitchen gadget that will not only save you money over time, but offer the chance to get creative with flavours from the comfort of your own kitchen.

Black Friday is generally a great opportunity to find top kitchen appliances on offer – not just blenders, but everything from the best food processors to the best dishwashers. The models included below were tested and chosen by BBC Good Food experts for reasons including their jug capacity, noise level, safety and design.

The trick is to find one that’s not only efficient in speed, but also suitable for whatever space you have on your countertop. When is Black Friday 2020?

Black Friday and Cyber Monday originally started in the US, but they’ve now become annual shopping events in the UK, too. Taking place on the first Friday after Thanksgiving, an American public holiday, brands and retailers will be dropping deals from 27 November until 30 November.

But, this year will be a bit different. With non-essential retail shops closing between 5 November and 2 December in line with national regulations, there will be greater online competition to entice customers, and we are already seeing deals go live. We’ll help you keep an eye on the price of your chosen blender as we head towards Black Friday right here.

How to get a good deal on Black Friday

  • Decide on which blender to buy in advance of Black Friday. Our guide to the  best blenders tried and tested is a good place to start your research.
  • Visiting the brand’s product page will often give you the real RRP of your chosen blender, which will give you a sense of how lucrative or not each deal will be.
  • The number of Black Friday deals can get overwhelming, so making a list of products can help you stay focussed.
  • Try to stick to your budget.
  • Keep an eye out for price-matched deals by the likes of AO.com, John Lewis & Partners and Currys, all of which offer a price-match guarantee.
  • We’re expecting stock to fluctuate largely with all the online traffic. Because of this, we’d recommend buying when you see the gadget at a price you like.

Should I wait for Cyber Monday?

Online offers on everything from top kitchen gadgets to Christmas gifts for foodies are already going live. Cyber Monday was the best time to pick up a top deal online in previous years, but we’re confident that there will be hefty discounts on both brand and retailer sites all the way up to Cyber Monday.
